Wavemakers handles your personal data with care. In this privacy statement you can read which data we collect when you visit our website, fill in a form, give a gift or take part in our services and activities, why we do so and which rights you have.
1. Who is responsible

Applying for membership
If you apply for membership, we process your name, email address and what you tell us about yourself. We use that data to contact you and plan an introductory conversation. If you become a member, we include you in our membership records (name, address, contact details, date of birth and family composition). Because Wavemakers is a church, we are allowed to process data of members and regular visitors that reveals their religious beliefs (article 9(2)(d) of the GDPR). Gifts
If you give a gift by bank transfer or the payment link, we receive your name, account number and the amount through our bank. We use that data for our financial records and, if you ask for it, for a gift agreement or annual statement. Legal basis: legal obligation (bookkeeping) and carrying out your gift. We keep financial data for seven years, as required by the Dutch tax authority.
Livestream, photos and video
Our Sunday services are recorded and broadcast via YouTube. Photos and videos may also be taken during services and activities for our website and social media. As a visitor you may appear in them. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in making our services accessible to people who cannot be present and in showing who we are. Would you rather not be recognisable? Let us know at the information point or via info@wavemakers.nl. We remove images in which you are recognisable on request. We only publish images of children and young people if their parents or carers have no objection.
